LeBron’s first children’s book is scheduled to publish in the United States on Aug. 11. The real inspiration for this book lies in the king’s efforts in Akron. The LeBron James Family Foundation did a really good job in his hometown.

King James founded the I Promise School in Akron to help at-r!sk youth get a proper education. LeBron wrote the book and New York Times-bestselling artist Nina Mata signs the illustrations.

I Promise is available for pre-order for $19.99 from HarperCollins Publishers. The New York-based published announced a two-book deal with LeBron.

This deal also includes an inte-rmediate-level novel in 2021.“Books have the ability to teach, inspire and bring people together,” LeBron said in a statement.

“That’s why these books, and the opportunity to get children and parents reading together, mean so much to me. Most importantly, we wanted to make sure these stories are ones that every single kid can see themselves in. ‘I PROMISE’ is powerful in that way and I can’t wait for people to read it.”

LeBron James is proud of his book: I Promise is based on the values emb-odied in the program. The LeBron James Family Foundation did a really good job in Akron.

According to the publisher, “tomorrow’s success starts with the promises we make to ourselves and our community today.” Akron Public Schools and the LeBron James Family Foundation opened the school in 2018 as a public school for some of the most at-r!sk third-graders.

They added a grade level each year. This year, there are about 450 third- through sixth-graders. LeBron’s foundation “funds year-round social services for kids and their families. This includes GED programs, legal a!d, medical and mental health resources. Job and family services, financial literacy programs, and unlimited access to a pantry stocked with food and other essentials.”LeBron opened the I Promise Village. His foundation funded the renovation of the apartment building to provide housing for families.
